Executive Board Member
Pastor Cathy Johnson
​
Pastor Cathy Lynn Johnson has ministered alongside Bishop F. Josephus Johnson II for 45 years. A graduate of Akron’s North High School, she was born in Barberton, Ohio and raised in Akron.
As one of the four original founding members of The House of the Lord, Pastor Cathy has served in a variety of ministries throughout the church history. Additionally, she is an Elder and the Director of the Women Walking Together In Christ Ministry (WWTIC). She has facilitated weekly Bible Studies, Prayer Breakfasts, Women Conferences and Pastor Wives Summits, and is a spokesperson for Summa Angel Network.
Trained in Lay Counseling under North Coast Counseling Family Practice, Pastor Cathy also trained with the American Association of Christian Counsellors Caring For People God’s Way Lay Counseling. She is also a certified Grief Recovery Specialist. While battling fibromyalgia, Pastor Cathy attended Logos Bible Institute, where she received a certificate in Systematic Theology, and the Johnson Leadership Institute of The House of the Lord and is a Certified Bariatric Coach.
An anointed singer, Cathy has blessed many with her voice including those at a benefit concert for Emmanuel Christian Academy, and as a musical guest on Fox 8 News in Cleveland. Pastor Cathy had the honor of sharing the stage with Pastor John P Kee at The WORD Church and recently opened for Eddie Levert at the Akron Urban League Benefit Gala. She has been a featured guest on The Chat Room, a women’s talk show sponsored by The WORD Church, and has hosted several episodes of the TCT Christian TV show, “Rejoice, Radiant Life, Celebrate Live and featured guest on Julie and Friends.” Recently, along with The House of the Lord, sponsored a "Coats for Kids" concert which provided free coats, hats, and gloves to children in some Akron Public Schools, Christian Schools, Access organization and needy families. With the help of many, children prayerfully felt the warmth of God's love through the many donations from our Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Youngstown, and Warren communities
Fourteen years ago after undergoing gastric bypass surgery and losing 163 pounds, Pastor Cathy created the Yournuabnormal support group. "Changing our Mindsets", will change our lives!
Pastor Cathy has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Humanitarian Award for Service to Summit County Community from Legacy III, and along with her husband Bishop Johnson, she was recognized for her community service by Project Grad Akron. Most recently Pastor Cathy was recognized as one of the seven Women in Power by the Akron Urban League.
Cathy meets no strangers. Interacting with her is like sitting down and having coffee with an old friend. Her unique gift of relating, loving, caring and embracing all people comes natural.

Apostle Carrie L. Brown
Apostle Carrie L. Brown is a Prophetic Preacher, Profound Teacher, Character Life-Coach, and beloved mother of three children Destini, Bergen, and Nigel three grandchild Jerell, Nigel Jr. and Bergen Jr. Apostle Carrie is a trailblazer when it comes to her worldwide movement through her Street Ministry “S.W.A.T.” (Spiritual Warfare Action Team). The founder and overseer of Bridge Over Troubled Waters Outreach Ministries for over 23 years and dedicated to “Winning the Lost at any Cost”. Founder of AC’s Explosive Leadership Academy a resource center for leadership development. Apostle Carrie awaken hundreds of individuals’ world-wide through her Morning Glory Inspirations sent out daily to inspire and quicken her readers at the rising of each morning. She is the author of Escaping Egypt and The Winds of Change.

Apostle Carrie is the President of Beth-El Fellowship of Visionary Churches, Regional Ambassador for World Vision, and the chairperson for the Save the Family Now International Movement Inc., a Facilitator, Life Coach, and Motivation Speaker on the John Maxwell Team.

Apostle Carrie is a graduate of Logos Bible Institute, and has acquired degrees in various areas such as: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, Associates Degree in Paralegal, a Licensed Beautician and Cosmetology instructor. Apostle has obtained multiple certificates and prestigious awards in various areas and community services. Apostle Carrie is the prestigious recipient of the 2017 Martin Luther King Jr religious award, The Phenomenal Woman award, Women of Evidence Award and various Community Awards.

Apostle Carrie is an apprentice of the Johnson Leadership institution, under the profound guidance of Bishop Flanvis Josephus Johnson II, the presiding Bishop, Organizer and Senior Pastor of the House of the Lord, and Overseer of Bethel Fellowship of Visionary Churches in Akron, Ohio. Through the Pastoral Mentorship of Bishop Johnson, she uses her powerful gifting’s to teach, encourage, equip and uplift other Pastors through strategic and transformational grace filled love, guidance and leadership.

Apostle Carrie has dedicated her life to serving God and humanity with a strong Passion to train, equip and prepare todays leaders for tomorrow successes. Her heartfelt mission is based on the “Great Commission” by being a “Church without Walls,” taking the Word of God to the nations and sounding the clarion call according to Joel 2:1a “Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain.” She is also known as the Apostle of Warfare, The Woman, The Warrior and The Worshipper.
Vice President
Pastor Daren Brake
Daren Brake is the Lead Pastor at The House of the Lord® church in Akron, Ohio, under the leadership of Founder and Preaching Pastor Bishop Joey Johnson. Daren is the pastor of Local Missions, Christian Education, Comfort Care, Prison/Reentry, Minister, and Deacons ministries. As Lead Pastor, Daren also has the responsibility of preaching and teaching the word of God when needed.
Daren also serves as Vice President of the Beth-El Fellowship of Visionary Churches.
Daren is a graduate of Malone University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management. He is an avid reader. He reads around 20 books a year on Biblical Theology, Biblical Studies, andrelated topics. Daren loves God’s people and God’s word and loves to preach God’s word. Daren’s wife of 12-years is Alaina, who is also actively involved at The House of the Lord, and has three sons, Donovan, Brayden, and Brandon.
Treasurer
Minister Antonio Jackson

Minister Jackson serves as the Treasurer for Beth-El Fellowship of Visionary Churches. Antonio is an ordained minister at The House of the Lord where he has been a member for 30 years. He is currently the Director of Men’s Ministries. In that position he facilitates the men’s Sunday School class and mid-week men’s discussion group. Antonio also sends out a weekly devotional, helps facilitate events, and promotes ministries for men. Furthermore, he serves on the Board of Trustees at the church. Minister Jackson has served in many other capacities, such as serving on the Budget Committee, Strategic Committee, and Assistant Director of Singles’ Ministries.
Outside of his church, he serves as President of Toolbox Men Ministries. Working with the Toolbox Ministries over the past 7 years, Antonio has spoken at the Ohio’s Iron Sharpens Iron National Men’s Equipping Conference, men breakfasts, seminars, and workshops.
Continuing to follow his dream as a teacher, conference speaker, and community leader; Antonio has had many speaking engagements in the area of finances, singleness, manhood and fatherhood. Additionally, he coached high school girls’ basketball for 9 years with Akron Public Schools.
Antonio has been employed with AT&T for 32 years and is responsible for the network’s reliability. With that, Antonio works on many servers, routers, multiplexers, and Video Ready Access Devices. After years of training and schooling, Antonio is certified to work on Cisco, Ciena, Adtran, Lucent/Alcatel, and Fujitsu devices, just to name a few. Other responsibilities he has assumed at AT&T are temporary manager, instructor, and Union Steward.
Antonio is a graduate of The University of Akron (Electronic Technology) and has been faithfully married for 32 years to Tammie and has two adult children, Antonia and Tameka.

Pastor Joseph E. Walker Jr.

Pastor Joseph E. Walker, Jr. is the Senior Pastor and Co-founder of Restoration Christian Fellowship Church, which was established in November of 2007, in Warren, Ohio.
Pastor Walker has an intense passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God while igniting a powerful atmosphere of praise and worship as he ministers. He has preached in revivals, facilitated workshops, and has presented at conferences and retreats. Pastor Walker believes in the restoring power of Jesus Christ and shares this message with authority and conviction wherever he is called upon to minister. God has blessed Pastor Walker with a ministry armed to bring restoration to many. He believes that through the experience of worship, teaching and preaching of God’s Word, individuals will be healed, delivered, set free and restored to their Kingdom purpose.
Pastor Walker was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in 2003 and ordained in October 2007 by Pastor Alton L. Merrell, Sr. He attended Berean Bible College and Logos Bible Institute. Pastor Walker is a member of the Beth-El Fellowship of Visionary Churches under the leadership of Bishop Flanvis Josephus Johnson, where he serves on the Executive Board and serves as the Worship and Music Ministry Director. He is a graduate of Kent State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies with a concentration on Human Development and Family Studies and is also a State certified Journeymen Carpenter.
Pastor Walker is employed as a Carpenter at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and is an Adjunct Professor at Eastern Gateway Community College in Youngstown, Ohio. Pastor Walker currently serves on the Board of Inspiring Minds as Board President. He also serves as the Board President of the RCF Family Life Center, on the Kent State Community & Law Encorcement Focus group and on the Mayor’s Police & Community Trust initiative. Pastor Walker is the President of the Trumbull County Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance and a 2019 inductee to the Trumbull African American Achievers Association Hall of Fame.
Pastor Walker has been married to Co-Pastor Kimberly D. Walker for 32 years and they are the proud parents of two sons; Min. Joseph Walker, III, and Min. Jeremy Walker.
